United Athlete Stories

Editorial policy

United Athlete Stories aims to publish clear, considered writing about athletes’ lives beyond competition. We treat people with respect, separate fact from interpretation and make changes when a published detail needs correction.

Accuracy and context

We check names, dates and other factual details against the material available to us and give context where a claim could otherwise mislead. Personal experience is not presented as proof that every athlete has the same experience. We avoid implying access to private information and do not fill gaps with guesswork.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for relevance to the publication’s subject and readers. A partnership does not buy a favourable editorial view, and partner material is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage.

Corrections

If you believe a published detail is wrong, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and the point at issue. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making the nature of a significant correction clear to readers.

Partner material and illustrations

Sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can recognise it. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that applies, the illustration is identified as AI-generated. Illustrations are not evidence for claims about real people or events.

Our point of view

A result is one part of a life

Sport makes some moments visible; it cannot show the whole person. We make room for the identities, connections and changes that a scoreline leaves out.
